It’s been a good start to the year at CCD, with a total of 4 wins out of 6 so far!
Unfortunately, the 1st team could not make it 3 out of 3, going down against Wanderers by 68 runs, despite bowling them out for 214. 4 for 32 by Mika Mutumbe and 76 by Ramon Wilmot were the highlights.
CCD 2 joined the 1st and 3rd teams by winning their opening fixture of the year and it ended in another domination of United, this time by 86 runs. Tawanda Sthole and Ricardo Strauss scored a brace of 50s, making 54 and 66* respectively. Jaden followed it up with 4 from 26.
However, the most dominating performance of the year so far easily goes to the CCD Cubs. Traveling to Outjo, they utterly dominated the home team, dismissing them for a scarcely believable 30. Apple was the destroyer-in-chief, taking no less than 6 wickets and the run chase lasted all of three overs. Winning by 10 wickets, the Cubs finished the match in one hour. Wow!
