It was a heartbreaking end to the season for the 1st team. Due to inclement weather, their semi-final against Wanderers could not take place (including the reserve day) and Wanderers went through to the final due to their superior position on the log.
The 2nd team batted first in their encounter against WHS 2 and were under the pump throughout as they were dismissed for 72, with only Calum Gunning making double figures.
The CCD bowlers made a good fist of a small total and at 6 / 2 and 41 / 5, an upset looked possible, with Goerge Matange and Dehan Van Zyl each taking three wickets. Unfortunately, WHS eventually reached the target with three wickets in hands.
It was a tough weekend and we may be down, but we are never out! Keep working hard Tigers.
