It was a weekend of mixed fortunes for the Tigers. The fixture between CCD 1 and WHS was cancelled due to wet conditions.
Bowling first against the Zebras, CCD 2 made excellent strides against the opposition batting lineup, taking the scorecard from 72 / 2 to 98 all out. Jason Bolton was ruthless, claiming 5 for 27 in 7 overs.
The Zebras responded in kind, however, and CCD never managed to get going. From 26 / 1 and 27 / 3, the Tigers never recovered and were dismissed for a lowly 64. Ankur Kathuria took 6 for 11 from 8 for the opposition.
The Cubs pulled off the only CCD win for the weekend, beating Zebras 2 by 42 runs. Batting first, CCD posted 134, Ben Burger scoring 56 and Quincy Beukes 24.
In response, Zebras could only score 92. Albert De Klerk, Gregory Feris and Francois Dieterle each took two wickets.
