What an excellent start to this season’s T20 leagues for the Tigers, winning 4 out of 5 matches!
– CCD 2 vs. Wanderers District
CCD batted first and posted 121 with contributions of 27 and 30 by Norbert
Despite losing only three wickets in the chase, Wanderers could only post 115 in what was a nail biting finish. Quincy Beukes returned excellent figures of 1 for 12 from 4, Norbert
Manyandeagain contributing with 1 for 17 from 4.
– CCD 2 vs. Gobabis
In the only CCD loss of the weekend, Manyande and Bampton top scored again with 27 and 18 respectively, although the Tigers could only post 91 this time around.
It was a fairly trouble-free chase for the Gobabis batsmen, winning by 5 wickets in the 17th over, despite figures of 2 for 17 from 4 by Manyande and 3 for 7 from 1 by
Dehan van Zyl.
– CCD 2 vs. Zebras
In his third high score of the weekend, Manyande made a hard-hitting 86 from 59 deliveries, with Beukes contributing 28 in a total of 132.
In response the Zebras made 124 with Manyande taking 3 for 14 from 3 and Takunda Matimbe taking 1 for 7 from 2.
– CCD 3 vs. Green Mambas 2
Green Mambas batted first and scored 120. The CCD bowlers pulled back the Mambas batsmen well after a good start, with young off-spinner Moses claiming brilliant figures of 4 for 10 from 2 overs at the death.
The result was never in question as the Cubs reached the winning target in the 13th over for the loss of only one wicket, with Johan Rossouw making 41*. JP Conradie (33) and Louis Nortje (26*) were the other contributors.
– CCD 3 vs. NDF
The Cubs batted first again, JP Conradie making 42, Ruben Burger contributing 23*, in a total of 130.
NDF could only make 106.
