That’s two in two for the CCD Tigers, who successfully defended their T20 crown.
In the semi-final against WHS, the Tigers successfully chased down 166, thanks to a solid 76* from 54 by Ramon Wilmot, well-assisted by captain Joshuan Julius, who made 45 from 41.
In a repeat of last year’s final, CCD faced United, although they would be made to work much harder for their victory this time around.
Batting first, CCD posted 149 for 7, which was built around Nicol Loftie-Eaton’s brutal 45 from 23. Ricardo Strauss added some late impetus and finished off the innings with 27 from 14.
United always stayed up with the rate, although CCD picked up wickets at crucial intervals and managed to strangle the United middle order to finish victors by 7 runs.
Thank you Tigers. Your victory is a testament to your hard work and dedication and the attitude with which you play the game. You have made your club very proud!
